There are two types of accommodation rates: a basic rate and a peak season rate.

Kyoto City collects an accommodation tax (city tax).

*If the accommodation charge (consumption tax included) is less than 6,600 yen:

 The accommodation tax is 200 yen per person per night.

*If the accommodation charge (consumption tax included) is 6,600 yen or more:

 The accommodation tax is 400 yen per person per night.
